IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test) - Stars Academy Lahore
What is IMAT?
The International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT) is an entrance exam for students who want to study Medicine, Surgery, or Dentistry in English-taught programs at Italian public universities. It is conducted annually by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) in collaboration with Cambridge Assessment.

Eligibility Criteria

IMAT Exam Structure
The IMAT exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), to be completed in 100 minutes.
Section 1: Logical Reasoning – 7 MCQ’S and General Knowledge – 2 MCQ’S
Section 2: Biology – 23 MCQ’S
Section 3: Chemistry – 15 MCQ’S
Section 4: Physics --- 7 MCQ’S and Mathematics – 6 MCQ’S
Scoring:
- Correct Answer: +1.5 points
- Wrong Answer: -0.4 points
- No Answer: 0 points
IMAT 2025 Important Dates
- Registration Start: Usually in June/July.
- Registration Deadline: Late July.
- Exam Date: September 2025.
- Result Announcement: Within 2-4 weeks after the exam.
How to Apply for IMAT?
1. Visit Universitaly portal.
2. Create an account and fill in the personal details.
3. Choose your preferred universities (up to 12).
4. Pay the registration fee (approximately €130).
5. Download your exam ticket.
Preparation Tips
- Start early (at least 6-8 months before the exam).
- Follow Cambridge IMAT past papers and mock tests.
- Focus on critical thinking and logical reasoning.
- Use books like BMAT & IMAT Practice Papers, Kaplan guides, etc.
