NUMS(National University of Medical Sciences ) Introduction

Still No Changes in the syllabus. Paper Duration Shall be 150 minutes. An important change is a candidate having 60% Marks in intermediate can appear in the entry test. The Passing criteria are 100 marks out of 150.

NUMS- Syllabus

Pattern

The test shall consist of one paper containing 210 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)- four options with single best answer- divided into following Four sections.
The format of test is Computer based MCQs
1. Biology 40% (60 MCQs)
2. Chemistry 25% (38 MCQs)
3. Physics 25% (37 MCQs)
4. English (General for language proficiency) 10% (15 MCQs)
Psychological test comprising of 50 multiple choice (MCQ's) with stipulated time of 30 minutes
Each question carries 01 mark. Total marks, therefore, are 210.
The duration of Test will be 210 minutes (3½ hours). There will be no Negative Marking in the test. There shall be question papers of different codes in which the sequence of questions and their responses shall be different from one another. The questions, however, shall be the same.

Test Format

Here is complete detail about nums entry test. a total number of MCQs 180. each Multiple choice questions carries one mark. No negative marking.

Nums entry test is the first step of admission in nums affiliated medical and dental colleges. This entry test is compulsory for public and private sector medical colleges affiliated with the national university of medical sciences. NTS conducts this test, every year.

What is the NUMS entry test?
  • NUMS entry test is the same as the entry test of previous years such as NUMS entry test NUMS is stand for (National University Of Medical Science) that other medical universities conduct to evaluate the academic values of the students. Students are informed that the university conducts the test every year just after the final examination session of intermediate or FSC pre-medical program.

I am a Foreign Pakistani. Can I apply for admission against seats reserved for foreign candidates?
  • Hello Candidate, if you are applying against reserved seats for the Children of Overseas Pakistanis then you have to submit the documents that are given below.
    An employment certificate (on Form-VIII) of Parents or a Guardian of candidate in a foreign country issue by the Pakistani Embassy. Form-VIII can be downloaded from our website or can be obtained from the undersigned Office.
    A photocopy of resident visa of the Parent/Guardian of applicant that is attested by the Pakistani Embassy in that country so, you can apply for NUMS Test.
What is the eligibility criteria for admission in NUMS?
  • National University of medical sciences is the admitting university by PMDC. Candidate must have 65% marks in intermediate Preparation.
